Anastasis is a totally unique and original Merlot.
Born in a land of exceptionally suited high hills, in the ancient site of Mondragon, in Arfanta di Tarzo (TV), covering approximately two hectares, composed of marl- sandstone consisting of marine deposits of lagoon origin, that left sediments 25 million years ago.
A valuable clonal selection gives rise to a soft and fragrant, balanced and harmonious wine, very rare in the panorama of Italian Merlot.
The more sophisticated implanting technique, the high-density spurred cordon one, facing South-West, and careful pruning, leaving no more than three or four bunches per vine foot, it severely limits the yield, never more than a total of 50 quintals per hectare, yet can lead to perfect ripeness each precious grain.
A late harvest, which usually takes place no earlier than October 7 of each year, provides the most comprehensive uptake of light and of sun energy, aiming to transform each bunch into a nature's work of art.
A long aging - about two years - in barrels of medium size (ranging from 5.5 to 17.5 hl) made of wood from the most noble and suited regions of Europe (French Massif Central, Slavonia, Veneto) completes a product that after another year of bottle aging, may be considered unique and lasting for many years in the cellars of the finest connoisseurs.
